What to bring to the hospital?
It is best to prepare your suitcase in advance so that you do not forget anything when leaving for the hospital. It is ideal to have your hospital suitase prepared when approaching the 37th week of pregnancy. However, you must bring all the itemss on the following list because they are essentiel and are not provided by the hospital.
Baby
- Diapers
- Unscented mild soap
- 3 to 4 pyjamas
- 3 to 4 onesies
- Bottles if you do not plan to breastfeed (formula is provided by Lasalle Hospital)
- Newborn car seat (make sure you stidied and understand the instruction for use beforehand a nurse will ensure your baby's safety in his/her car seat when you leave, they qill not go outside to put the seat in your car)
- Suitable outdoor clothing for the season/temperature
- 1 or 2 hats
- 1 pair on mittens ans socks
- 2 or 3 blankts
- Breasttfeeding pillow
Mother
- Health insurance card, hospital card, private insurance card (if you have any)
- Maternity sanitary apkins, long and super-absorbent (minimum one pack) or incontinence panties for adults
- Birth plan signed by your doctor (optional)
- Breastfeeding pads
- 4 to 6 pars of underwear
- Comfortable clothing
- 2 or 3 pyjamas, nigthgowns or comfortable clothes
- 2 or 3 bras(regular ou breastfeeding)
- Slippers and socks
- Robe (optional)
- Toiletries (deodorant, soap, champoo, hair brush)
- Tootthbrush and toothpaste
- Hair dryer (optional)
- 1 box of tissues
- Pillow (optional)
- Glsses ou contact lenses with case
- Lip balm
- Purelan or Lansinoh (if breatstfeeding is planned)
- Carges for your electronic devices
